The department is headed by Dr. J. Maragatha Meenakshi, MBBS., OG, Senior Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with experience of over three decades. Dr. M. Preethi, M.B.B.S., M.S.,OG joined the department in 2013.

The department specializes in High Risk Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

It is equipped with Cardio Tocogram for continuous fetal heart rate monitoring for high risk Obstetric patients.

Department facilitate Daycare procedures for fractional curettage, Mirena Insertion, Indicated Medical Termination of Pregnancy, Laproscopic Tubectomies, Incision Biopsy of suspicious breast masses.

OP procedure includes screening for Cervix cancer, Endometrial Cancer and IUCD Insertion.
