The Cardiology department is headed by renounced cardiologist Dr. S. MURUGAPANDIYAN., M.D., D.M., (Cardio) who has been pioneer in cardiology with over three decades of experience behind him. He is one of the most sought after doctors in Salem. He is the proud winner of “The Best District Doctor" award and “The Best Cardiologist (west zone)" award & also "IMA B.C.Roy" award.

The department of cardiology at Pranav Hospital started at 2003 was 12 bedded complex with intensive cardiac critical care and intensive medical care. It is manned with doctors trained to handle emergencies 24 x 7, experienced and qualified staff nurses and technicians.

He has recently been presented the doctors day award (07-07-2019) in recognition of his meritorious services to society and excellence in his field of work.
